Tesla driver charged with dangerous driving after sleeping on Alberta highway with Autopilot engaged
A Tesla driver was caught asleep behind the wheel while doing 93 MPH on the highway near Ponoka, Alberta, in his Model S. The 20-year old driver, who had both front seats reclined and Autopilot switched on, was slapped with reckless driving charges and had his license suspended for 24 hours. The car accelerated when approached by a police car with its emergency lights flashing, even though t he driver and passenger appeared to be asleep .
