Tesla on Autopilot kills Norwegian truck driver standing on road
A Tesla Model S hit a truck driver who had stopped on a road in Arendal, Norway. The truck driver, who was standing on the road beside his vehicle, died instantly in the accident. The accident was investigated by the police and the Accident Investigation Board Norway, with the former deciding to prosecute the driver for negligent homicide. The accused Tesla driver claimed in court that he was alert and that the car's Autopilot driver assistance system was turned on . Earlier, Tesla Norway had received an apology from the police after the electric car maker was wrongfully accused of being uncooperative during the investigation.
