FTC investigates Evolv for misleading marketing
The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is investigating weapons screening firm Evolv Technologies over claims it made about its AI systems accurately identifying weapons passing through its screeners. Evolv 's AI-powered technology is used in public spaces such as stadiums, hospitals, schools, and entertainment venues to strengthen security by eliminating gaps presented by traditional metal detectors.
