Starship robot 'tries to run over pedestrian'

A Starship delivery robot delivering groceries to a customer in Northampton, UK, "collided" with a man outside a supermarket, injuring him and damaging his groceries. The robot reportedly hit Darryl Lane on the pavement outside a Sainsbury’s supermarket, resulting in Lane being injured and his shopping damaged. Lane expressed irritation about the efficiency and safety of the robots, likening the experience to tangling with “a serial killer robot with a split personality.” Starship Technologies, the company behind these robots, stated they take safety seriously and were investigating the incident .
