A Tesla crashed into a California Highway Patrol patrol car on Interstate 80 on the night of October 13 while Full Self-Driving was active. The 22-year-old driver said he had fallen asleep; two officers were seriously injured, while the driver suffered minor injuries. CHP stressed that Full Self-Driving is a Level 2 driver-assistance system and requires constant driver supervision.
