Facebook's moderation systems fail to detect ISIS propaganda network
A report by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue found that a network of ISIS supporters evaded Facebook's automated and manual moderation systems for months, spreading terrorist content that garnered tens of thousands of views. The network used tactics such as blurring logos and adding news branding to avoid detection. Facebook removed the accounts after being alerted, but the network adapted by shifting to new accounts.
