Carlsen Sues OpenAI for Copyright Infringement
The Carlsen publishing house, author Marc-Uwe Kling, and illustrator Astrid Henn have filed a lawsuit against OpenAI's European branch in Munich. They allege that the ChatGPT chatbot generates stories and illustrations that copy key creative elements from the children's book series "Das NEINhorn" without permission. The publisher is seeking damages and disclosure of the materials used for training.
