Twitter restricts content in Turkey before election
Twitter, under Elon Musk, restricted access to some content in Turkey in response to a legal request from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's government. Critics, including Congressman Adam Schiff, accused the platform of censoring speech during a critical election. Musk defended the move, saying the alternative was having Twitter throttled entirely. The restricted content remained visible outside Turkey.
