Twitter shadow bans RNC chair and other prominent Republicans

Twitter's search auto-complete algorithm limited the visibility of several prominent Republican figures, including RNC chair Ronna McDaniel and multiple congressmen. The company stated it was a side effect of efforts to combat troll-like behaviour and was based on account behaviour, not content. Democrats were not affected in the same way. Twitter acknowledged the issue and said it was working on a fix.
