Man sues ChatGPT over advice that endangered his life

A former Florida pastor has sued OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman, alleging that ChatGPT repeatedly discouraged him from seeking medical care for symptoms of a massive pulmonary embolism. The lawsuit claims the chatbot downplayed his dizziness and unstable blood pressure, told him to stay home, and used religious language to keep him reliant on its advice. Scott Winters later ended up in intensive care and says he lost his job, career, and home.
