The lawsuit alleges that Lovo hired two voice actors in 2019 and 2020 to provide voice clips for what they were told would be internal research. It alleges the company then cloned their voices with its AI voice cloning tool, breaching their contracts. One of the actors said he later heard his voice in a YouTube video and a podcast that he never recorded. Lovo did not respond to CBS News' requests for comment.
