Channel 4 to broadcast deepfake Queen in Christmas message
Channel 4 is to broadcast a deepfake of the Queen in its alternative Christmas message, created by VFX studio Framestore. The broadcaster said the aim was to warn about fake news, but the BBC's royal correspondent criticised the voice and some viewers called it disrespectful. Ofcom received a small number of complaints but could not consider them because it is a post-transmission regulator.
