Tinder investigates after 40,000 profile pictures scraped and made public
A programmer, Stuart Colianni, wrote a program to scrape 40,000 profile pictures from Tinder and made them publicly available on Kaggle for machine learning research. Tinder accused him of violating its terms of service and requested removal of the dataset, which was taken down. The incident raised privacy concerns about linking dating profiles to other social media.
