The lawsuit alleges that the Par-A-Dice Casino in East Peoria used security cameras at its sportsbook that collected, stored and used patrons' facial recognition data in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. The alleged collection covered September 2020 to June 2021. The casino denies wrongdoing and agreed to an $825,000 settlement, which the Tazewell County circuit court has preliminarily approved.
