Deepfake persona published false accusations in Jerusalem Post and Times of Israel
A deepfake persona named Oliver Taylor, with computer-generated images, published articles in the Jerusalem Post and the Times of Israel accusing London-based academics Mazen Masri and Ryvka Barnard of being terrorist sympathizers. The persona was later identified as a deepfake by Reuters and experts. The articles caused reputational harm, though the damage was described as minimal. The creator of the deepfake remains unknown.
