The complaint alleges that Wingstop allowed a virtual ordering assistant to record customer voices during phone orders without their knowledge or consent. It alleges the companies used artificial intelligence-assisted voice technology to collect voiceprints of thousands of people in Illinois. The complaint also alleges that Wingstop and the vendor, ConverseNow Technologies, have no publicly available retention or destruction schedules for biometric data, in violation of Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act.
