Facebook Marketplace loophole allows disguised gun sales
Facebook Marketplace uses AI algorithms and human moderators to prevent illegal item sales. However, sellers have exploited a loophole by listing firearms disguised as expensive gun cases, with the actual gun included. The Independent and Wall Street Journal found multiple listings across US states. Facebook acknowledged the violations and stated that such items would be removed.
