Tesla Autopilot involved in fatal motorcycle crash in Florida
On August 26, 2022, a Tesla using Autopilot struck and killed motorcyclist Ingrid Eva Noon in Palm Beach County, Florida. The driver was impaired and Autopilot was engaged. The crash is one of three similar fatal incidents in summer 2022, raising concerns about Autopilot's ability to detect motorcycles, especially at night. NHTSA is investigating.
