The Biju Janata Dal filed a police complaint in Bhubaneswar alleging that a social media account named 'Odianka Chhata' circulated AI-generated, voice-cloned videos on Instagram and Facebook targeting party women leaders, including former IAS officer Sujata Rout Karthikeyan. The complaint says one deepfake falsely showed Karthikeyan calling the principal of Kendrapara Autonomous College, threatening him and trying to manipulate student elections. Police say they are investigating.
