Finnish police opened a criminal investigation into possible breaches of environmental law at the site of a planned Google data center in Muhos. Authorities allege Google subsidiary Tuike Finland cleared and drained 330 hectares of forest before required impact assessments were complete. Google's Finland manager apologized and says the company acted on its understanding of the law at the time.
