Google's AI Overview returned AI-generated images of mushrooms that did not match the species, leading experts to warn that foragers could be poisoned. The images appeared as top results for searches of edible mushrooms and were flagged as AI-generated. A Reddit moderator reported the issue to Google, and a Google spokesperson said the company was looking into it.
