A proposed class action filed on 15 April 2026 in Illinois federal court (Farrier et al. v. Tempus AI) alleges that Tempus compelled Ambry Genetics, after acquiring it, to hand over its genetic-testing database without patient consent. It says Tempus used the data to train its AI tools and licensed it to more than 70 pharmaceutical and biotech partners. The allegations have not been proven.
