Teenager arrested for AI deepfake images of Bacchus Marsh Grammar schoolgirls
A teenager in Victoria, Australia, was arrested and released pending further inquiries after allegedly using AI to create and distribute explicit deepfake images of around 50 female students at Bacchus Marsh Grammar. The images were reportedly generated from photos the girls had posted on social media. The school is offering counselling and assisting police. The incident has prompted renewed calls for stronger laws against non-consensual deepfake pornography.
