Marco Fernandez alleged that RentGrow's tenant-screening report wrongly flagged him to a prospective landlord as a possible match to the OFAC sanctions list. On 11 September 2024 the Fourth Circuit vacated certification of his class and held he lacked standing, because the landlord had never viewed or understood the OFAC entry.
