US investigates fatal Tesla crash suspected of involving Autopilot
On July 5, 2023, a Tesla Model 3 collided with a Subaru Impreza in South Lake Tahoe, California, killing the Subaru driver and a three-month-old baby in the Tesla. The crash is suspected to have involved Tesla's Autopilot self-driving system. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened a special crash investigation. Tesla did not respond to a request for comment.
