Meta reported that its AI chatbot, Meta AI, gave incorrect responses about the attempted assassination of former President Trump, including refusing to answer and sometimes asserting the event did not happen. Additionally, its automated fact-checking system incorrectly applied a fact-check label to a real photo of Trump that was similar to a doctored version. Meta acknowledged the issues and said it had corrected them.
