Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is seeking €100,000 in damages over deepfake pornographic videos of her that circulated online. Two men, a father and son, are accused of creating the videos in 2022. They are being investigated for defamation, and Meloni is due to testify at a court in Sassari. Her legal team said she wants to send a message to women who are victims of such abuse of power to press charges.
