Fatal Tesla Autopilot Crash Caused by Speeding
The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board found that the fatal May 7 Tesla Autopilot crash in Florida was caused by speeding. The Tesla Model S was traveling at 74 mph in a 65 mph zone when it struck a trailer and then a utility pole. The driver, Joshua Brown, died in the first known fatality involving Tesla's Autopilot system.
