A driver reportedly said they fell asleep while Tesla Full Self-Driving was active, shortly before the car struck two stopped California Highway Patrol vehicles on Interstate 80. Two officers were seriously injured and taken to hospital. Authorities stressed that the system is driver assistance, not full autonomy, and that drivers remain responsible for the vehicle.
