A passenger who used a Tesla Cybercab in Austin said a trip that normally takes about 10 minutes took 70 minutes. The driverless vehicles reportedly avoid highways and level railroad crossings, forcing the car onto long city-street routes. The ride cost about $20, and the Tesla app did not show an estimated trip duration.
