A chain-reaction crash occurred yesterday morning on the northbound National Freeway 1 in Miaoli's Sanyi section. After an initial collision, the two drivers got out to talk, and a Volvo with its adaptive cruise control reportedly engaged struck them from behind, causing a secondary crash. The initial collision and the secondary impact resulted in a total of three deaths and three injuries, with the Tesla driver succumbing to her injuries early this morning.
