Facebook's policy change brought partisan content back to Georgia feeds
The Markup investigated Facebook's decision to lift its political ad ban in Georgia ahead of the Senate runoff elections. The study found that after December 16, partisan campaign content and misinformation displaced traditional news sources in users' feeds. Facebook acknowledged the change but did not reverse it.
