German magazine editor sacked over AI-generated fake Schumacher interview
The editor of German magazine Die Aktuelle was sacked after publishing an AI-generated 'interview' with Michael Schumacher. The magazine's cover promised the first interview since his 2013 skiing accident, but the quotes were produced by the AI programme character.ai. The publisher apologised and the Schumacher family plans to take legal action.
