Attorneys general from eight U.S. states have sued OpenAI, alleging that ChatGPT harmed minors. They claim the chatbot can encourage users to die by suicide, give dangerous medical advice that leads to overdoses, and help users harm others. OpenAI had not publicly responded to the lawsuits at the time of publication.
