Fatal Tesla Model 3 Crash: Autopilot Active During Collision
On October 6, 2025, a Tesla Model 3 stopped on Interstate 4 in Florida with its driver-assistance system active and was struck by a truck. The Tesla driver died, while the truck drivers were unharmed. Tesla confirmed to NHTSA that the system was active, but the reason the car stopped remains unknown.
