Capitol Music Group drops AI rapper FN Meka after racial stereotyping criticism
Capitol Music Group has dropped the AI rapper FN Meka after criticism that the project contained racial stereotypes, including repeated use of the N-word. The label apologised to the Black community for its 'insensitivity' in signing the project. Activist group Industry Blackout had called the AI musician 'a direct insult' to Black culture. The company behind the AI, Factory New, said a human voice performs the vocals.
