Chinese cities tighten rules on facial recognition in property sales
The city of Tianjin introduced a policy prohibiting private and state-owned organisations and business groups from collecting biometric data. Nanjing has ordered property agents to remove facial recognition systems from their sales offices. The moves are part of stricter laws being introduced by the central government to limit abuse of personal data.
