Researchers remotely hack Tesla Model S via multiple vulnerabilities
Tencent Keen Security Lab discovered multiple security vulnerabilities in Tesla Model S cars, allowing them to remotely control the vehicle while parked and driving without physical contact. The researchers used an unmodified car with the latest firmware to demonstrate the attack, which is the first known case of remote compromise of the CAN bus to control a Tesla. The vulnerabilities were reported to and confirmed by Tesla's product security team, and Tesla has taken action to fix the issues. Tesla urged owners to update their firmware to the latest version.
